We named it Misdemeanor, so we get it. Something that feels this good, with a name like that, is going to raise a few questions.

Good. We would much rather you ask us than guess, so we put every question we get into one place and answered it straight. No dodging, no fine print buried at the bottom. If something here matters to you, take it seriously, and if you're still unsure, ask your doctor. Now, let's start with the one everybody is thinking.

The big one

"Wait, is this MDMA?"

No. Not even a little. We hear it constantly, and honestly, it's the compliment the name was fishing for.

Misdemeanor is named the way it is because it feels like you're getting away with something, while being completely, boringly legal. The active ingredient is kanna, a small succulent from South Africa that people have used for centuries. It is not MDMA, it is not chemically related to MDMA, and it is not a research-chemical knockoff of anything. It's a legal plant in a one-ounce shot. The only crime here is how good it feels, hence the name. That's the whole joke.

The short version

The quick answers, up top

That's the headline. If you want the longer answers, they're right here.

Is it legal?
Yes. Misdemeanor contains no alcohol and no controlled substances. Kanna is sold openly as a botanical ingredient in the United States. The name is a wink, not a warning.
Is it actually safe?
Kanna has a long history of traditional use and a gentle, forgiving reputation. Start with one shot, see how it settles, and go from there. The one real caveat worth taking seriously: if you take an SSRI or another medication that affects serotonin, or you're pregnant or nursing, talk to your doctor before trying it. That's not boilerplate, it's the smart move.
Is it addictive?
Kanna is not known to cause physical dependence, and it doesn't carry the addiction profile of alcohol or nicotine. As with anything you enjoy, the healthy move is to use it on purpose, for the occasion, rather than out of autopilot habit.
Can I drive after it?
It has no alcohol and is specifically built to keep your head clear, not cloud it. That said, everyone's body is a little different, so use your own judgment, and never drive or operate machinery if you feel anything you're unsure about. When in doubt, sit it out.
Can I mix it with alcohol?
You can, but the entire point is that you don't need to. Kanna combined with alcohol isn't well studied, so we'd gently suggest you pick a lane. Misdemeanor is designed to replace the drink, not to chase it.
Can I take it with my medication?
If you're on any prescription, especially an SSRI, SNRI, MAOI, or anything else that affects serotonin, check with your doctor or pharmacist first. Same goes if you're pregnant or nursing. We'd rather you ask than assume.
How much do I take, and how often?
One shot is plenty for most people. But everyone's a little different, so some will want a bit more and some a bit less, and that's completely fine. The honest guidance: sip it, pay attention to how you feel, and have as much as feels right for as long as it feels right. Your body is a better guide than any label.
What does it feel like, and how long does it last?
Warm, social, and clear-headed. It comes on in around fifteen minutes, settles in for the part of the night you want it around for, and then clears out clean. Loose but not sloppy, and no crash on the far side.
Misdemeanor bottle
All the mischief. None of the actual crime.

The funnest, legalest, no-booze-required stuff on the planet. A harmless little rule-bend in a can, with nothing to hide and nothing to feel bad about in the morning.
